Often bike fits are designed to find this ‘optimal position’ on the bike based on your size & your bike’s size…….. the difference with us is that we evaluate YOU – your past / current injuries, body type, strength, flexibility and what you want to get out of your cycling…….not all of us ride with the aim to be World Champion!
What to bring:
Please wear your cycling clothes and bring the following to your bike fit session:
- Your bike
- Cycling Shoes
- Water Bottle
- Towel
All Bike Fit sessions may be claimable on HICAPS / Private Health Cover** if you have Extras, Enhanced Primary Care Program (Medicare)** and Department of Veteran’s Affairs (DVA), if it is part of our Physiotherapy Management of your condition.
We do not treat TAC & Workcover funded clients
Costs & Duration:
Level 1
BASIC- A basic history, measurement of you & your bike is undertaken with a physical assessment of a single area of the body. We will get you riding on the wind-trainer prior to bike adjustments and make the initial suggested changes to your bike for you to again test on the wind-trainer. You will be given a copy of the assessment with what we assess to be your ‘optimum’ bike set up position. It can take multiple small step adjustments to your bike over time which you can undertake yourself or be reviewed back in the clinic under a Follow Up consultation.
Level 2
ADVANCED- A detailed history, measurement of you & your bike plus a full body screening will be undertaken. We will get you riding on the wind-trainer prior to bike adjustments and make the initial suggested changes to your bike for you to again test on the wind-trainer. Video pre & post bike adjustment may be completed using “Hudl Technique” App which you’ll be provided access to. You will be given a copy of the assessment with what we assess to be your ‘optimum’ bike set up position and areas detected in your physical assessment that we suggest you work on. It can take multiple small step adjustments to your bike over time which you can undertake yourself or you can chose to be reviewed back in the clinic. We also encourage you to follow up with your usual health practitioner for issues detected in your physical assessment or you may elect to be reviewed by a Physiotherapist in our clinic.
Follow Up
- This is designed to re-check measurements, make additional adjustments to the bike or set up a 2nd bike based on a Bike Fit (Basic / Advanced) completed with us within the last 2 years.
